Teaching Facilities The synchronous interactive distance education commenced at the School on April 18, 1998. Our program makes use of ISDN and distance video conferencing to connect Shanghai Jiao Tong University and University of the Sunshine Coast, through which the audio and video synchronous interaction and courseware sharing are made possible. The multimedia classrooms in the Distance Education Center are equipped with students' desktop response system, speech and listening system, electronic whiteboard, electronic OHP and object projector, individual DVD/VCD players, tuning mixer, etc. The newly constructed multimedia distance education classrooms in September 2001 are also equipped with Camera Man auto-follower vidicon system which can synchronously follow and transmit to USC the course delivery of Chinese co-teachers and the students' classroom performances.
