Lin Dai is an enthusiastic and caring teacher.
She has been teaching various language and culture courses since
1994 at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and University of Shanghai for
Science and Technology.
Lin obtained her first degree in English from Hunan University and
her second degree in Applied Linguistics from University of
Sheffield (the UK). |
In addition to the teaching post, Lin also worked as a part-time tour
guide with travel agencies for five years. In response to her interest
in intercultural communication, she has designed a course of Chinese
culture for students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in 2002. The
course content has been reviewed and revised ever since to address
diverse interests and needs of oversea students. Her hands-on experience
and formal education qualification enable her to deliver her course in
an exceptionally enjoyable and profitable way.
Lin has tremendous love for teaching and possesses outstanding ability
to communicate across a wide range of cultures. She is also skilled in
the design of challenging, enriching and innovative activities in her
classroom.
Owing to her oversea education and living experience in different parts
of China, she speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Shanghai
dialects and Chaoshan dialect is her mother tongue.
