Frank
Chen was born in Shanghai, he immigrated to the United States in 1991.
Although photography is Frank’s dream, he did not turn pro until his two
children were born. Frank’s favorite photographer is Heri
Cartier-Bresson. His style of photography is heavily influenced by Denis
Reggie and Jim Erickson. Frank started Frank Chen Photography in 2002.
Frank’s style of photography
is Photojournalism. Capture the lively moment in time is his specialty.
His work is dynamic. Frank’s photojournalist style of wedding
photography is in high demand by the modern American brides. Besides
weddings, Frank photographed many events, such as WII re-enactment in
Pennsylvania, Civil War re-enactment. He photographed civil rights
pioneer Clarence Jordan’s family, well-known Chinese-American artist
ZhenHuan Lu. Frank worked with GQ magazine model Chris John. In 2003,
Frank took part in a documentary movie Gallery of Heroes. Frank also
volunteers his time for neighborhood children and photographed many
extracurricular activities. Frank’s photographs were published in
magazines, such as The Third Place, Shanghai Photography, The knot,
Atlanta Bridal, Grace Ormonde. He has also published a book, The Perfect
Moment.
Frank
attributes his inspiration and success to his wife and two children.
Frank is also a runner. He holds the 25th place in the
Atlanta Thanksgiving Marathon race in 1996, and is a seeded runner in
Atlanta Peachtree 10K race. |
